Levels of qualification available
Intermediate Certificate

An Intermediate Certificate is awarded after successful completion of a minimum of five modules, of which four are compulsory. The Intermediate Certificate is usually completed in three months.

Compulsory:
- Module 1: Introduction to Stainless Steel
- Module 2: Stainless Steel vs. Corrosion
- Module 3: Mechanical Properties of Stainless Steel
- Module 5: Fabricating Corrosion Resisting and Stainless Steels, or Module 7: Metallurgy of Stainless Steels

Students who reach an exceptionally high level of achievement receive an Intermediate Certificate with Credit.

Full Certificate

A Full Certificate is awarded after successful completion of a minimum of 12 modules, of which seven are compulsory. The Full Certificate is usually completed in six months.

Compulsory:
- Module 1: Introduction to Stainless Steel
- Module 2: Stainless Steel vs. Corrosion
- Module 3: Mechanical Properties of Stainless Steel
- Module 4: Surface Finish on Stainless Steel
- Module 7: The Metallurgy of Stainless Steels
- Module 8: Welding and Joining of Stainless Steels
- Module 10: Practical Considerations for Designing in Stainless Steel

Students who reach an exceptionally high level of achievement receive a Full Certificate with Credit.
