Terms and Conditions

1 The services that the ISSF makes available at this Site are subject to the following terms of use.

2 No contract will exist between the ISSF and you until you have completed and submitted the student application section of this Site, including the submission of payment details for undergoing a Course and the ISSF has given you notice that your application has been accepted.

3.1 Upon acceptance the ISSF agrees to:

a) Make the Courseware available for the purpose only of you undertaking the Course;

b) Provide such technical assistance to you as the ISSF thinks prudent (acting reasonably) during the conduct of the Course;

c) Provide you with the opportunity to undergo an examination of the knowledge you have assimilated of the Courseware material;

d) Mark your examination results fairly and objectively;

e) Issue to you a certificate of successful completion of the Course when you pass the Courseware examination.

3.2 Notwithstanding clause 3.1 if at any time the ISSF is unable to supply the Course or any part of the Courseware it may at its option cancel the Course or so much of it as you have not completed at such time and refund to you a pro-rata amount of your Course fees paid equivalent to the proportion that the part of the Course not then completed by you bears to the whole of the Course.


4.1 The Site and the Course are subject to copyright. All intellectual property rights are either owned by or licensed in favour of the ISSF. You agree that other than for the purposes of and subject to the conditions prescribed under the Copyright Act 1968 (Commonwealth of Australia) and similar statutes that apply in your location, you may not in any form or by any means:

a) Adapt, reproduce, broadcast, disassemble, copy, store, distribute, transmit, print (except to download Course material for use in the Course), display, perform, publish or create derivative works from any part of the Site or the Courseware;

b) Commercialise any information obtained from this Site or the Course without written permission of the ISSF.

4.2 You acknowledge that the ISSF has the ultimate discretion to remove or withdraw any material on the Site or any part of the Courseware.

5 The contents of this Site and/or terms and conditions under which the Course is offered, may be changed from time to time by the ISSF without prior notice. The terms and conditions current at the time that you enter into a contract with the ISSF will be the terms and conditions applying to such contract.

6 You warrant to the ISSF that you will not use this Site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms and conditions.

7 You agree that these terms and conditions and the Course have been prepared in English and to the extent any translation of these terms and conditions or the Course is necessary such interpretation must be consistent with the English meaning.

8 By using this Site, you represent that you are of sufficient legal age and have the legal capacity to create binding legal relations for any liability you may incur as a result of such usage and acknowledge and accept the financial responsibility for same.

9.1 The ISSF does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information contained on the Site or in the Courseware. The ISSF does not warrant that any such information is free of computer viruses or other harmful components and does not warrant that the functions and materials contained on the Site or in the Courseware will be uninterrupted or error free or that errors will be detected or corrected.

9.2 The ISSF is not liable to you or anyone else for any loss suffered in connection with the use of this Site or the Course. To the fullest extent permitted at law the ISSF disclaims representations or warranties of any kind expressed or implied with respect to the Site and the Course including without limitation warranties of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose.

10 For the avoidance of doubt any contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the Commonwealth of Australia.

11 Any contact will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland in the Commonwealth of Australia and you irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

12 The ISSF’s failure to exercise or enforce any one or more of its rights under these terms and conditions will not constitute a waiver of such rights unless such waiver is granted by the ISSF in writing.

13 If any part of these terms and conditions are or become illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any relevant jurisdiction, the legality, validity or enforceability of the remainder of the terms and conditions will not be affected and these terms and conditions will be read as if the part had been deleted in that jurisdiction only.

14 In these terms and conditions:

a) “Course” means the stainless steel specialist course offered by the ISSF from the Site;

b) “Courseware” means all papers and other material whether recorded electronically or otherwise which from time to time make up the Course;

c) “Site” means the website on which the Course is offered.
